Nielsen: Sun protector products’ turnover grew by 10 percent
The sales of sun protectors increased by 10 percent in volume and by 1 percent in value, between June 2016 and May 2017, compared to the same period of the previous year, according to the data of the Nielsen market researcher.
At the retail chains tested by the company sales were close to two billion forints, ie nearly 200,000 liters of sun protector products. More than the third of the sales were private label products.
The international trade chains sold more than a million bottles of sunscreen and post-sunbathing products between May 2016 and May 2017, which is a 4 percent increase, compared to the same period of last year. (MTI)
