NGM: real wages have risen in the competitive sector
The pace of real wage growth has accelerated sharply in the last four months. Real earnings grew by almost 8 percent in the private sector – the Minister of State of the Ministry of National Economy told M1 newschannel on Thursday morning.
Cseresnyés Péter said that the companies adjusted to the January increase of the minimum wage and the guaranteed wage minimum of the skilled workers. At the same time, despite the impact of raising the minimum wage, the wages increased considerably in the private sector.
There was a significant demand for skilled labor in the labor market, while the retaining of the employees required higher salaries, he added. (MTI)
