NGM: a growth in room revenues and guest traffic
Room revenues increased in February, and the number of guest nights increased by more than 10 percent as well – Ruszinkó Ádám, Deputy Minister of State for of the Ministry of National Economy (NGM) told on Friday to M1.
According to the recently published data of the Central Statistical Office (KSH), the guest traffic of the commercial accommodations in February increased by 10.2 percent after the 8.9 percent growth in January. 13.3 percent more foreign tourists spent 11.4 percent more guest nights in commercial accommodations, while the number of domestic tourists increased by 9.6 percent, the number of guest nights they spent rose by 9.0 percent compared to a year before. The room revenues in February increased by 12 percent to 9.6 billion HUF. (MTI)
