Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Culture: Applicants are still being accepted for the Summer Student Work Program
More than 21,000 people have already taken up work within the framework of the Summer Student Work Program, which will last until the end of August, so they are still waiting for applicants – said the Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of National Economy (NGM) on Friday morning in the current program of the M1 channel.
Viktória Zöld-Nagy recalled: full-time students between the ages of 16 and 25 can participate in the program, who register with the employment department of the district offices.
The government provides wage subsidies for summer employment up to the amount of the minimum wage or the guaranteed minimum wage. In the case of employment with local governments, the full amount of this amount, and in the case of enterprises operating in the fields of agriculture, tourism and hospitality, and forestry, the subsidy is 75 percent
– she explained.
The program is being announced for the thirteenth time, and according to experience, working for local governments or municipal companies is the most popular, with more than 80 percent of students choosing this option this year as well – the Deputy State Secretary indicated.
Viktória Zöld-Nagy drew attention to the fact that with the help of the organized program, students can gain work experience and try themselves in areas that may even determine their future work.
