NGM: retail is expanding for 51 months
Retail sales have been rising steadily for 51 months – Pomázi Gyula, Deputy Minister of State of the Ministry of National Economy (NGM), told M1 news channel on Tuesday, commenting on the latest data of the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
According to the Central Statistical Office, sales of retail stores grew by 5.4 percent in September, compared to a year before. The calendar effect adjusted growth was 6.0 percent.
Pomázi Gyula explained that in September, non-food consumption increased by 12.5 percent, while food consumption increased by 2.7 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year. (MTI)
