NFM: eCommerce is in the focus of consumer protection this year
In 2017, the Consumer Protection Authority and the Ministry of National Development (NFM) checked more than 800 webstores, five times more than in the previous years, mainly through trial purchases. Due to the continuous increase in online purchases, e-commerce is in the focus of consumer protection this year – NFM told MTI on Thursday.
According to the report, due to regulatory measures, the Internet commerce in Hungary is not characterized by abusive consumer protection violations.
The authority will continue to focus on the inspection of showrooms, amusement parks, adventure parks and aquaparks, coupon sales and travel agencies. (MTI)
