The 75th OMÉK was really popular
More than 85,000 visitors went to the 75th National Agriculture and Food Exhibition (OMÉK), held in the Hungexpo Budapest Fair Center until 2 October. There were more than 400 exhibitors, covering practically al important segments of the sector. At Kincsem Park horse races entertained visitors, the prizes of which were presented on the last day of the exhibition by Minister of Rural Development Dr Sándor Fazekas, who also handed out the OMÉK prizes. Winners of the OMÉK ministerial prize: Imre Szpisják (Kenderes) with his ISV Pannonhibrid pig; Bábolna Hús – Debreczeni Tibor with his traditional ham product. The OMÉK visitors’ prize went to Zsindelyes Distillery Kft. for their Quality Food From Hungary-marked pálinkas.
