Lidl’s small but useful innovation is popular among customers
The British Lidl will introduce a useful innovation from October 31: semi-fat and organic dairy products will be sold with transparent, colorless caps in the future, instead of the usual green caps.
The innovation was introduced after a four-week beta period, during which customers tested the cap design change in cooperation with their milk supplier, Müller.
Although it is a simple version, colored plastic is more difficult to recycle and is less often used for food packaging. At the same time, Müller’s suppliers produce 60 tons of high-density recycled polyethylene packaging material every year, ESM reports.
