Hungarian apples are popular among the customers of SPAR
The SPAR Magyarország Kft. joined for the second time to the apple promotion campaign of the Ministry for Rural Development and FruitVeb this year. In almost 400 stores of the SPAR-group 6 million kilograms of apples were sold in 2012. 99.9 percent of the amount were domestic apples.
As the part of the Hungarian apple promotion campaign, Dr. Fazekas Sándor, Minister for Rural Development held a conference on 15 October in the SPAR supermarket in the MOM Park Shopping Centre. At the event, linked event with apple tasting, Dr. Simon Miklós MP and Dr. Mártonffy Béla FruitVeb president and several Hungarian apple growers also attended as well. The conference, included discussions about the latest news of the domestic apple cultivation and about the future plans in the sector.
