Kometa strengthens with international experience – new member on the board

As of October 2025, Attila Szalay-Berzeviczy, former Chairman of the Budapest Stock Exchange, joined the board of directors of Kometa 99 Zrt.

Attila Szalay-Berzeviczy is a key figure in Hungarian and international financial life, who for more than three decades strengthened Budapest Bank as a senior manager in the capital markets and investment banking areas at home, UniCredit Group in Milan and Raiffeisen Bank International in Vienna.

Between 2004 and 2008, he managed the operation of the domestic stock exchange as Chairman of the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) and played a key role in the integration of the Budapest Commodity Exchange and BSE. During this time, he was a member of the presidency of the European Stock Exchange Association, and later served as an advisor to the President and CEO of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

In August 2008, László Sólyom, President of the Republic of Hungary, awarded him the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary for his achievements in the development of the Hungarian capital market and pension system. Currently, BOM is working as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Hungarian Sports Foundation, alongside the Hungarian Olympic Committee and the Hungarian Paralympic Committee, to ensure that Budapest can one day host the Olympic and Paralympic Summer Games.

The expansion of the board also indicates that Kometa is committed to transparent corporate governance, sustainable operations and an active presence in international markets in the long term. The appointment took effect on October 1, 2025.
