The highest inflation rate of the past 40 years measured in April in Germany
In Germany, consumer prices rose 7.4 percent year-on-year in April, the highest inflation rate in 40 years; an increase of 7.3 percent was recorded in March.

German inflation at four-decade high
According to the final data released by the German statistical office Destatis on Wednesday, prices increased by 0.8 percent in April compared to March, when inflation was higher at 2.5 percent. (MTI)
