German, Italian, Dutch, French, Irish, Spanish, Danish, Portuguese and Turkish winners at the European Private Label Awards
Altogether 16 retailers from 9 European countries have been named as the winners at the 2023 European Private Label Awards, which celebrate excellence in private label product innovation. The competition was organised by ESM: European Supermarket Magazine and its Hungarian media partner was Trade magazin. Awards were presented in 17 grocery categories, as well as four cross-category “Best of the Best” Awards: Innovative Product of The Year, Packaging Excellence Award, Sustainable Product of the Year and Taste Excellence Award.
Stephen Wynne-Jones, editor of ESM: European Supermarket Magazine: “Amidst a growing cost-of-living crisis, increased numbers of consumers are turning to private label to save money, discovering products that exceed the standards they are used to in a particular category. The winners and finalists at this year’s European Private Label Awards demonstrate why store brands continue to be a force to be reckoned with.” //
