Danone's claims were not rejected
Danone plans to reinforce that, contrary to some news, the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) has not rejected the health benefits of Danone's Actimel and Activia.
According to Danone’s coomunication, the European Food Safety Authority has not decided over Danone’s petition.
The health and nutrition claims and the approval processare a completely new process for both the EFSA and for food manufacturers. The EFSA's previous guidelines, which are made public in June 2009, has also led several companies to withdraw their submissions, to ensure they are in accordance with the new measures – reports Privátbankár.
