Unable to save the meat plant in Debrecen
Although the agreements have ended, between the Slovak Penta-owned Debrecen Meat Group Ltd. and the Meat Workers'Union (HDSZ), the company maintained its position during the negotiations, that the restructuring the company is necessary due to the Hungarian meat market situation and the closure of the Debrecen plant is also necessary.
The company confirms its earlier decision, that more than 90 percent of the production of the Debrecen plant will be taken into the company's remaining three Hungarian plants. With this step, the production will remain in Hungary and the company retains its strong market position – reports Szabad Föld Online.
