Lidl stores will not be declared as marketplaces
The management of Lidl Magyarország examined the market practices in the retail sector in the recent past and came out with a strategic decision.
Under this decision, the Lidl will not convert any of its stores into a marketplace, in order to remain open on Sundays. The decision is based on the full compliance with the Hungarian laws during daily operations.
“From 1 March 2015 we extended the opening hours of our shops. Most of our shops are open from 7am to 9 pm, but in a total of 46 units customers can purchase up to 10 pm” – Grósz Jenő, chairman of the board of directors of Lidl Magyarország added.
