Egg prices should be legible in the stores
The retail chains cannot indicate the egg price per kilogram with small barely visible, almost unreadable letters – the recently published regulation of the Minister of National Economy says.
The regulatory change provides an opportunity to the consumers with poor eyesightto make the right purchasing decisions and to strengthen the market position of the legal domestic egg-producing companies, against imports. The Poultry Product Council (BTT) turned to the relevant ministry last year, because of the wrong price indication practices of the retail chains.
