There’s a huge increase in GDP in Hungary, as if there was no covid!
In the first quarter of 2021, the performance of the Hungarian economy (seasonally and calendar-adjusted) was 1.9% higher than the previous quarter. This is a huge surprise, as it was anticipated that the restrictive measures of the second and (partly) third wave of epidemics would cause gross domestic product (GDP) to decline in the first three months of the year.
