Russians do not need chlorinated poultry
Russia bans the importation of chlorine clened poultrym, from the 1st of January – announced the leader of the Russian High Authority of Health. The decision does not affect the European Union, but affects the United States.
The ban was originally designed to be introduced on 1st of January 2009, but the government at the end of 2008 decided to postpone the introduction of the health standard concerned on poultry imports. The decision mainly affects the American exporters, because in the U.S.A., it is a common practice to treat the poultry with chlorine – reports Magyar Nemzet Online, after MTI.
