The European Commission has raised no substantive objections against the new health tax on tobacco companies
The European Commission (EC) has raised no substantive objections to the proposal on the new Hungarian health tax on tobacco companies – the Magyar Idők was informed from Brussels on Wednesday.
The online edition of the daily reminds that Lázár János, Minister leading the Prime Minister's Office announced in late October that the government has drawn up a new proposal in the summer to replace the former tobacco surtax that was suspended by the European Commission. (MTI)
