Tesco will not sell eggs from cage breeding after 2025
Customers’ habits are constantly changing, more and more people are aware where are the products come from and how they are made. Tesco is committed to providing the highest quality products to its customers every day, to buy the products from ethically and sustainably operating suppliers. The main aim of the supermarket chain is to improve the welfare of animals, and by 2025 cease the sale of eggs from cages.
Tesco has a wide range of eggs to choose from: the chain offers deep-seated and organic eggs as well. The company will, formulate the animal welfare standards in consultations with its suppliers, to meet the expected animal welfare standards, while adapting to the stringent requirements for egg production.
