Tesco does not stop with the fight against inflation: the prices of another 2,000 products will be reduced permanently
The general price reduction at Tesco continues. The supermarket chain lowered the prices of more than 2,000 products in January and more than 400 in February, and from the middle of May, it will introduce lower prices for more than 2,000 more products, thereby helping customers to optimize their household expenses.
The company passes on to its customers the price difference resulting from, among other things, the decrease in energy prices on the world market, the strengthening of the forint exchange rate, and the decrease in supplier prices, the average price decrease in the case of 2,000 products is 9.4 percent. In addition, Tesco continues to offer around 600 price guaranteed products, around 20 bomb priced products and around 1,000 Clubcard priced products per week with significant discounts in its stores and online.
“Tesco will continue the price reduction with more than 2,000 more products: from mid-May, the price reduction for these products will be an average of 9.4 percent. Within these, the prices of 60 items will be more favorable by 30 percent or more. Recently, energy prices have decreased worldwide, while the The forint exchange rate has improved, which has created more favorable business conditions for us, so we want to apply these positive effects to consumer prices as well. We are reducing the prices of more than 2,000 products again, and we are confident that we will soon be able to announce further price reductions in cooperation with our suppliers. further reduction of purchase prices is necessary, therefore we consider it important that the positive effect of changes in the world market is reflected as much as possible in the prices of our suppliers”
