At Dunapack Packaging small customers also get a lot of attention: an interview with sales director Zoltán Szőnyi

Dunapack Packaging
– How typical is it for the packaging industry that some market players are narrowing their product range and focusing on large orders from big customers in the name of economies of scale?
– We hear this happening more and more often. It inevitably means that these firms will be less able to respond flexibly to the needs of small and medium-sized customers, resulting in uncertainty, longer delivery times and difficult communication for them.
– Are you following this strategy too?
– We are taking a different direction. At Dunapack Packaging we believe that every customer is important – from small local producers to the biggest international brands. It isn’t the size of the first order that matters, but whether there is growth potential, mutual trust and a shared vision.
– What kind of responsibility does that entail for Dunapack?
– As a market leader, we believe that we owe our customers not only capacity and technology, but also a responsibility to never let anyone down. It may also help that our parent company, the Prinzhorn Group is still a family business, so we don’t just speak the language of large corporations, but can also easily communicate with smaller companies.
– What technology do you use to support this approach?
– We opened our Dunavarsány plant in 2022 with the goal of offering a stable and sustainable solution for the packaging market in the long term. Material handling is fully automated in the factory, and we use state-of-the-art printing machines and low-energy systems, which significantly reduce our environmental impact.
– What is your message to companies currently looking for a new partner?
– If you choose Dunapack Packaging, you aren’t just ordering packaging materials – you get a reliable, accessible and partner-oriented team. We build real relationships, we don’t just fulfil orders. (x)
