The high rainfall complicates the harvest in Vas county

The large amount of rain in Vas county complicates the harvest of sunflower and it will likely to hinder the harvest of maize as well – the National Association of Agricultural Economics Vas County Board of Directorate told MTI on Friday.

According to the information received by the Chamber, flood affected almost 400 hectares and 19,240 hectares are by inland water poured. On an additional 91 thousand hectares of waterlogged areas it is not possible to carry out the agricultural works. (MTI)
