The Hungarian Food Bank collected forty percent more donations this year

The 3500 Volunteer of the Hungarian Food Bank Association collected about 195 tons of durable food products, during the food donation campaign that took place at 257 weekend locations of 140 cities. This is a forty percent better result, compared to 2013.

From the donations the Hungarian Food Bank Association compiles about 30,000 packages, that will be transported by charitable organizations to the needy families before Christmas – the association informed MTI on Sunday.

The Hungarian Food Bank Association was established in 2005. Since then the association coolected 33,000 tons of food products in an amount of 13 billion HUF for the needy. (MTI)
