The Hollókő Easter Festival will last four days this year
The Hollókő Easter Festival will last four days this year; the world heritage village in Nógrád County welcomes guests from Friday with a folklore program, Palóc gastronomy, folk customs, watering, concerts, family and children’s programs – the managing director of the Hollókő World Heritage Nonprofit Kft. informed MTI on Tuesday.
Péter Kelecsényi put it this way: the 67 red-tile monument houses of Ófalu, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, are mostly reminiscent of an open-air museum, with the difference that Hollókő is a living, working village, whose residents put on their famous, colorful folk costumes at Easter and bring to life the best of Hungarian Easter customs. . This year, Hollókői Locsoloviz can be taken home in a bottle with a buckle, he noted.
Péter Kelecsényi explained: the Easter traditions are among our disappearing cultural values, but on these days in Hollókő you can find everything that characterizes the Hungarian holiday.
