Consumer sentiment in the United States is on its four months peak
Consumer sentiment improved in the US in May, reaching a peak of four months – according to the preliminary results of the University of Michigan’s Monthly Survey.
The consumer mood index has risen to 97.7 points in May, from the downwardly revised 97.0 points of April. Analysts calculated 97.0 points for May.
Among the sub-indices, the consumer expectation index for the next six months rose from 87.0 to 88.1 points, while the sub-index reflecting the current situation did not move from the previous 112.7 points. (MTI)
