The SPAR celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2016
When the first SPAR supermarket opened in Tata, only a few people thought that a real success story begins. 25 years have passed since then.
Over the years the business network has developed steadily, the franchise program was launched and the company also played an important role in supporting social causes. In the past decades SPAR Magyarország has become dominant and popular food chain of the country. Year 2016 has passed in the spirit of jubilee, with a number of activities, novelties and events. The company’s turnover reached 516.4 billion HUF, which is a 5.2 percent higher value, compared to 2015. For the development of its business network, the SPAR Magyarország will spend 23 billion euros this year. A total of 24 stores are expected to be renewed and 5 new stores will open their doors.
