The Nébih destroyed four tonnes of goods at the wholesale market
About four tons of vegetables and fruits, especially oranges were destroyed in the wholesale market of Budapest, where the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) and the National Tax and Customs Authority held a joint control last week – the Nébih told MTI on Friday.
Five fruit and vegetable importers and distributors were checked, especially the traceability of the products was investigated.
In case of one distributor 3.5 tons of oranges had to be destroyed immediately, due to the lack of marking. The product was considered as unknown origin, which could not be marketed. (MTI)
