Retail sales rose by four percent in October
The volume of retail sales increased by 4.0 percent in October, compared to the previous year, after the 5.1 percent growth of September, while the calendar adjusted data shows a 4.5 percent increase – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced its first estimate on Thursday.
The calendar effect adjusted volume of retail trade of food and beverages increased by 2.0 percent, while in non-food retail the growth was 7.8 percent, and 3.4 percent in fuel retail sales.
In the first ten months of the year the sales volume – according to calendar adjusted data – was 5.8 percent higher than in the same period of last year. (MTI)
