Inflation in the euro area fell to a four-and-a-half-year low in September
Consumer prices fell 0.3 percent year-on-year in the euro area in September, the weakest value since April 2016. They measured a 0.2 percent decline in August, compared with a 0.8 percent increase in September last year.
The price of food, alcohol and tobacco products rose 1.8 percent and services 0.5 percent, but energy prices fell 8.2 percent. (MTI)
