Intimate hygiene tissue: expansion above average
The market of intimate hygiene tissues is small but growing dynamically. According to the Retail Index of Nielsen, retail sales show an increase of 16 per cent in the July 2006–June 2007 period, approaching HUF 0,5 billion. Drugstores have become the absolute market leaders in retail sales, with their market share reaching 52 per cent. Average prices have not changed much in the past two years, being HUF 380 in May. Sales of intimate soap have expanded by 10 per cent in the same period, exceeding HUF 1 billion. Drugstores play an even more dominant role in this segment, with a market share of 81 per cent.
