Nébih: more than 39 tons of pickles were withdrawn from circulation
The specialists of the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) withdrew more than 39 tons of pickles from circulation, after revealed several food safety deficiencies at a pickle production plant in Budapest – the Nébih told MTI on Thursday.
According to the publication, the platform cover was fractured in several places in the plant, while the ceiling was moldy. There were no nets on the upstairs windows, so the room was full of insects and the workers did not have a valid medical certificate. The National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) carried out the investigation together with the 17th District Police department. (MTI)
