Nébih tips for baking and storing homemade bread – Food safety and waste prevention on the holiday of new bread
August 20th is the New Bread Festival, which is an excellent opportunity to try baking bread at home – not only for the sake of preserving traditions, but also for the experience of freshly baked, crispy bread.
Making bread is a true source of gastronomic pleasure, but it also requires attention from a food safety and sustainability perspective. The National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) Education Program has collected useful advice for all those who bake bread at home, whether for the holiday or all year round.
The New Bread Festival is a good opportunity not only to preserve traditions, but also to draw attention to the value and safe preparation of one of our basic foods, bread. Useful advice from the Nébih Education Program, as well as the full text of the announcement, can be found at https://portal.nebih.gov.hu/-/nebih-tippek-hazi-kenyersuteshez-es-tarolashoz-elelmiszerbiztonsag-es-pazarlasmegelozes-az-uj-kenyer-unnepen.
