Nébih: Auchan recalled milk shakes from the market
Auchan Magyarország Kft. is recalling the An Kedvenc Bar. Milk shake due to the presence of an allergen (milk) not indicated on the label in Hungarian, the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) told MTI on Wednesday.
The agency asks customers who are sensitive to milk not to consume the 750-milliliter product.
The recalled milkshake can be returned to any Auchan store, the price of which will be refunded even without a block.
They pointed out that legislation in the European Union stipulates that the ingredients that most often cause allergies or intolerances must be listed on the food label, including cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, milk and eggs. Hypersensitivity reactions are mostly caused by proteins, and only in individuals who are sensitive to them.
The immune response can be immediate or delayed, most food allergies are immediate. Allergies most often appear in the form of skin symptoms (rash, redness, eczema), respiratory symptoms (runny nose, asthma) and digestive system symptoms (diarrhea, bloating).
