Nébih: Auchan recalled sesame paste from the market
Auchan Magyarország Kft. is recalling the Alfez Tahini sesame paste due to the risk of salmonella, the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) told MTI on Friday.
The agency asks customers not to consume the 160-gram package.
It was indicated: the recalled tahini can be returned to any Auchan store, the price of which will be refunded even without a block.
Nébih explained on its website that the typical symptoms of salmonella infection are diarrhea, vomiting, and high fever, but in milder cases only fever and depression can be experienced, or the course of the disease may be asymptomatic. The symptoms usually appear within 1-2 days after eating the contaminated food, but a longer incubation period is also possible. The disease is particularly dangerous for small children, the elderly, and people with weakened bodies.
