Nébih: ruminants cannot be transported to Turkey without air conditioning
The Ministry of Agriculture (AM) banned the transportation of animals in vehicles without air conditioning because of the heat. The ban mainly concerns ruminant shipments to Turkey – Pallós László, National Chief Inspector of Animal Food Safety (Nébih) told M1 news channel.
The Chief Inspector stated that the restriction applies to more than eight hours, ie long-term animal transportation.
Because live animal transport to Turkey is important, the Authority has regulated as extreme warmth hit. The ban does not apply to air-conditioned vehicles – he added. (MTI)
