Nébih: the restaurants in Balaton are adequate in terms of food safety
Balaton restaurants are adequate from a food safety point of view, the inspectors of the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) found only minor irregularities in the majority – the office informed MTI on Thursday.
According to the announcement, the series of summer seasonal inspections coordinated by Nébih is in full swing, and its target areas include restaurants around Lake Balaton. The focus of the inspections – typically for the inspection of restaurants – was the hygienic conditions, the traceability of raw materials, and the control of their handling.
They pointed out that the inspections showed positive images overall, but there were minor shortcomings. As an example, it was mentioned that in several places the specialized storage was not solved in accordance with the regulations, it also happened that the condition of the floor, wall and ceiling, as well as the furnishings and equipment was objectionable. As a recurring error, it was indicated that not all workers had a valid health fitness certificate, without which hospitality activities could not be carried out.
