Nébih: Auchan recalled quick-frozen green beans
Auchan Magyarország Kft. recalled the 450-gram Auchan quick-frozen cut green beans from the market due to the possible presence of a snapping mask, the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) told MTI on Wednesday.
According to the information published on the authority’s website, the batch number of the recalled product is L.24.366.1.A, and the shelf life is 2026.
Nébih asks customers not to consume the product that matches the described identification data. The affected goods can be returned to any Auchan store, and the price will be refunded even without a block.
The snapping mask is a poisonous weed containing tropane alkaloids. To date, more than 200 tropane alkaloids have been identified in various plants. Contamination from weeds can enter food and feed during the harvesting of plants. When tropane alkaloids enter the body in larger quantities, they affect the functioning of the central and vegetative nervous systems. They can cause dry mouth, pupil dilation, cardiac arrhythmia, and other nervous system symptoms.
