Nébih: distributors recalled products advertised as gluten-free

The distributors decided to recall three taller-type products advertised as gluten-free because they contain gluten, the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) informed MTI on Thursday.

One of the product recalls concerns the Ziegler 100-gram package, with a shelf life of November 3, 2023 and November 9, 2023, gluten-free cheese taller. The product is manufactured by Bergland Hungária Kft., and distributed by Ziegler Kft. – read on Nébih’s website.

Due to unlabeled gluten content, SPAR Magyarország Kereskedelmi Kft. recalled the SPAR FREE FROM brand gluten-free 100-gram cheese plate with a shelf life of July 5, 2023 and August 2, 2023.

The commercial chain also recalled the caraway seed version of the brand, available in similar packaging and with a quality preservation date.
