Nébih: gluten-free extruded bread was recalled by Abonett
Abonett Kft. has recalled Abonett’s gluten-free extruded bread with vegetables product from the market due to aflatoxin content above the limit value – the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) drew attention on Wednesday.
The recall applies to 100 gram products with a shelf life of August 20, 2023. According to the description on Nébih’s website, even in very small amounts, aflatoxins are toxic, liver-damaging, carcinogenic, compounds that adversely affect the genetic material of cells and the body’s defense system. The Food Chain Safety Agency is asking customers not to consume the product.
According to the information, the affected product can be returned to the address provided on the Subscriber’s website, Spar and Auchan stores will take back the products identified with the above data at the place of purchase.
