Nébih: the inspection of catering services around Lake Tisza ended with a less than positive result
The National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) revealed shortcomings during the inspection of catering units around Lake Tisza, the office informed MTI on Thursday.
According to their statement, the catering units operating at Tiszta Lake and its wider surroundings were inspected for a week in June as part of the seasonal summer inspection. First of all, they checked the hygienic condition of the restaurants, the traceability, adequacy and handling of the raw materials.
According to Nébih’s information, the results of the inspection “can be said to be mixed”, as it was written, errors were found in a significant proportion of the inspected units, however, in most of them there were only minor deficiencies, the hygiene conditions mostly met the regulations.
On the plus side, it was mentioned that the allergen information was mostly correct. At the same time, the failure to ensure adequate hand washing conditions was highlighted as a typical irregularity. In addition, food with an expired shelf life or shelf life was also found in several places, they noted.
