Tibor Navracsics: tourism developments must be implemented in a way that is consistent with the landscape
Tourism developments must be carried out in a way that is compatible with the environment and landscape, so that they benefit everyone – stated Tibor Navracsics, Minister of Public Administration and Regional Development, on Thursday in Kisapáti, Veszprém County.
At the ceremony for the handover of the renovated Káron Károly Key House, the head of the ministry emphasized: the renewed key house indicates the need for community formation, as well as the fact that the region is a popular and respected slice of Hungary.
As he said, in the period following the Trianon peace decree, attention was focused on our remaining values, so this region also became the focus of interest, adding that after the First World War, tourism in Lake Balaton and the Balaton highlands boomed.
“A nation that wants to live looked at what it had left, it paid attention to the treasures,” he said. We can thank this for the birth of the Blue Tour and the tourist houses that were born in the period between the two world wars, and in another wave after the Second World War – pointed out the minister.
