The affected farmers can use compensation support for Natura 2000 grasslands. The primary aim of the support is to compensate farmers for the additional costs and lost income due to the special land use regulations applicable to Natura 2000 grasslands, while encouraging farmers’ commitment to preserving biodiversity and maintaining and restoring the nature conservation status of our country. Within the framework of the call for applications, a support application can be submitted every year in the single application, which also qualifies as a payment application – thus, a non-refundable support of 115 euros/hectare can be requested for farming in Natura 2000 grassland areas. Agro-ecosystems also play a decisive role in promoting the restoration, conservation and improvement of biodiversity and the protection of wild animal and plant species, which can contribute to maintaining or restoring the favorable state of the natural environment.
Agro-ecosystems in good ecological condition also increase the efficiency of agricultural production
These goals can be achieved fundamentally with the fullest possible cooperation of agricultural producers. The support now awarded will be disbursed to the affected farmers in the coming days. The Ministry of Agriculture draws attention to the fact that further decisions and payments are expected in the coming weeks within the framework of the relevant measure.
