The Brits throw 1.4 million edible bananas into the trash every day
1.4 million pieces of edible bananas are dumped per day by the British, while the amount of wasted garlic each year reaches 80 million pounds (25 billion HUF), according to a government report released on Monday.
30 percent of the consumers admitted that they are already throwing the bananas out if they are slightly injured or a dark spot on their skin can be seen. 13 percent of the Brits even throw the fruit into the trash if they are still immature and green spots can be found on their skin –The Guardian daily quoted the latest report of the Wrap consultant company.
