NAK: significantly less damages occured thanks to the hail damage mitigation system
The hail damage mitigation system, which has been operating in Europe for two years and is unique in Europe, has resulted in significantly less damages – the president of the Chamber of Agriculture said at a press conference in Debrecen, Hajdú-Bihar county on Monday.
Szólláth Tibor emphasized that the national hail damage mitigation system operated by the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) and the Ministry of Agriculture not only protects agricultural products but also “all movable and immovable property of the country”.
Szólláth Tibor spoke about the operation of the system at a briefing: There are 986 so-called soil generators in Hungary, 222 of which are automatically activated before the hail, and 764 are started by generator operators. (MTI)
