NAK: rainy weather helps to sow rape, but made sunflower harvesting difficult
The rainy weather of the past few days has helped the sowing of winter rape, but it has made the harvesting of sunflower somewhat difficult – the National Department President of the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) told MTI.
Petőházi Tamás said that rape is sown nationwide, and rainy weather has a positive effect on seed development. He added that last year practically the rape was “dusted” by the farmers, resulting in poor or non-emergence of seeds, and in many places having to discard stocks in the spring. (MTI)
