NAK: the players in the pig sector ask retail chains to give preference to Hungarian products
The domestic players of the pig sector ask retail chains to give preference to Hungarian meat products over foreign chains in order to avoid the possible adverse market effects of the African swine fever occured in Germany and the consequent import ban – the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) told MTI on Friday.
They said in a statement: Germany announced last week that the pathogen of African swine fever had been detected in a wild boar that died in an area near the Polish border. As a result, their East Asian export markets, such as China and South Korea, have imposed an import ban on German meat products. (MTI)
