A large drop in vodka and beer production in Ukraine
Vodka production in Ukraine declined by nearly a third, while the amount of beer production fell by more than one-fifth by comparing the datas of September 2013 and 2012 – the government’s statistics agency published on Tuesday.
The data show that 21 million liters produced in Ukraine in September 2013 from 45.4 percent higher alcohol content vodka, 31.6 percent less than in September last year.
Beer production from malata beer – including alcohol-free and less than 0.5 percent alcohol containing beers – in September 2013 compared in a year-to-year comparision 168 million liters were produced, which is a 21.5 percent decline. (Kovács Andrea, MTI)
