The best startups can make a big splash with PURINA’s business mentoring program
For the fifth time this year, PURINA is announcing its international accelerator program, for which applications from companies providing technical solutions and services in the field of pet keeping and care are expected until October 15. The selected startups are put into a higher gear with 20 weeks of mentoring, networking and training, while the development of the appropriate operating model is also accelerated with a grant worth 50,000 Swiss francs.
The Nestlé PURINA Unleashed program was created to embrace and support startups that improve the lives of companion animals, thus making life easier for their owners. In previous years, the best, a total of 25 startups, were selected from more than 800 applicants from 50 countries. Among them was one that used alternative proteins in its sustainable pet food recipes, while another aimed to improve the quality of life of pets with new digital solutions and better medical care.
The program, announced for the fifth time this year, welcomes applications from Hungarian start-up or operating companies that offer technological, health, sustainability solutions or other services related to pet keeping. During the assessment, the startups are evaluated primarily from the point of view of how well they provide relevant answers to consumer needs. A sustainable and scalable business model is also an important criterion during the selection process.
