Kopint-Tárki expects higher economic growth compared to its previous forecast
In December, Kopint-Tárki still expected a 3.5 percent increase in gross domestic product (GDP) in 2021. The more favorable outlook was explained by the economic recovery following the lifting of restrictions.
According to the institute, industrial growth may exceed 10 percent this year, but this, they added, is threatened by global chip shortages and transportation-logistics difficulties.
In the construction industry, growth is expected to grow below 10 percent amid growing labor shortages and limited or more expensive raw material supply. (MTI)
